We couldn’t decide what to go for so we had a mix of dishes but our stand outs were the sweet & sour chicken, crispy chilli beef & the spare ribs. We couldn’t fault the other dishes but these were our fav!!

AD (invite) - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… @correstaurant is genuinely one of the best gluten free dining experiences in Bristol and I physically cannot stop talking about it 😂🤍

As someone who’s gluten free, I always appreciate when a restaurant makes you feel comfortable straight away - and COR absolutely does. They brought out a dedicated gluten free menu immediately and the staff were so knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination, which honestly makes such a difference.

Here’s everything we ordered 👇

🥖 Gluten free bread & whipped black garlic butter - this butter was RIDICULOUS. Rich, creamy and dangerously good.

🫒 Olives - simple but perfect to snack on while deciding what to order.

🥓 Jamón ibérico - absolutely melt-in-your-mouth.

🫘 Cannellini beans - so comforting and packed with flavour.

🦑 Cornish cuttlefish - cooked perfectly and so delicate.

🐟 Shetland cod - probably one of the nicest fish dishes I’ve had in ages.

🥔 Cornish mid potatoes - I need a lifetime supply immediately. Crispy, buttery perfection and genuinely one of the nicest things I’ve ever eaten 😭

And then dessert somehow managed to be just as good…

🍮 Tonka bean crème caramel - silky, rich and unreal.

🍨 Ice cream flight with 3 different flavours - the perfect end to the meal and such a fun idea.

The whole meal just felt so thoughtful and special without trying too hard. Safe gluten free dining AND incredible food? Elite combo.

Already can’t wait to go back… again 😂✨

ad. Took a trip to @cliftonthaibristol and it felt like we were back in Thailand again 🥹🥹

We shared their starter platter which was the perfect size to get you going for the main course!! Chicken panang for harri - I obvs tried a bit and it was genuinely better than some I had in Thailand, punchy flavours but just the right balance. Then I had a prawn Pad See Eww as I lovvvve a chunky noodle 😆

We decided to also order a som tam salad - it’s basically shredded papaya, peanuts, tomatoes in a spicy af fresh sauce, they asked how hot we wanted it (Thai spice can be CRAZY) so we said medium, and it was gorg. The perfect fresh accompaniment 😮‍💨

We shared mango sticky rice for dessert which is an absolute guilty pleasure of ours, sweet af mango, warm coconutty rice, also with a scoop of ice cream ❤️

It is an absolute beast and for £39.95 you might be thinking it’s a little steep, but bbq food is not cheap and for the portion and quality of scran you are getting, it is genuinely so worth it. I am a big lad, and Leila and barely made a dent, but our family was well chuffed with the leftovers ahah… IT IS MASSIVE!!🫣

Each part of this masterpiece is a different level!! All the meat is perfectly cooked, full of that smokey flavour, so juicy and so tender - it was just delicious. It’s no secret their brisket is cooked for 16-18 hours and oh my word every second is worth it. Our fave component was definitely the burnt ends Archie now too describes them as ‘little nuggets of joy’ quoted from the legend @jackeatseverythingg 🤭

This has to be on your list if you haven’t tried it yet!! These were flying out the door when we visited so go and grab yourself a munch box now🫡

Checking out COR in Bedminster! This place is absolutely living up to the hype. If you haven’t been yet, add it to your Bristol bucket list immediately.

Between the atmosphere and the incredible Mediterranean-inspired plates, it’s easily one of my new favorites in the city. Every dish was a standout, but the Cod was next level.

You know the food is going to be elite when the chef literally landed from Turkey yesterday. ✈️🇹🇷
I spent my afternoon at the Turkish Street Flavours pop-up in Portishead, and it was a total sensory overload (the good kind!). I tucked into a massive plate of Chicken Shish with vibrant mixed salad and some of the softest, freshly bread I’ve ever touched. 🥖🍢

We also couldn’t resist the Pepperoni and Cheese Gozleme. It’s the ultimate comfort food-salty, cheesy, and toasted to perfection. 🧀🔥
It’s rare to find street food this fresh with a team this welcoming. If you’re looking for a sign to go grab lunch, this is it.
