One day, three stunning places ✨This is of my favourite road trip ideas from London. Leave early, visit three beautiful villages and towns, and still be back in the city by evening.

First stop was Lacock, around a 2-hour drive from London. Just outside the Cotswolds, it’s full of charm, local shops, historic streets, and Lacock Abbey; a Harry Potter filming location that’s even more beautiful in real life.

Next was Castle Combe, only 18 minutes away. Often called one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds, it’s tiny but incredibly scenic.

Our final stop was Bradford-on-Avon, about 30 minutes away. We had a delicious Sunday roast at Canal Tavern, then walked along the river and explored the town. The Bridge Tea Rooms, a 16th-century building with over 500 years of history, is now top of my list for next time.

“I’d love to travel but…” 🌅

I’ve heard or said every single one of these at some point. All completely absolutely valid by the way, because doing something like travelling on your own is crazy and risky and feels very out of our comfort zones 😅

But I’ve always hesitated, and it’s not because I didn’t want to go, but because I was scared or unsure or just waiting for the “perfect” moment. Waiting for the right people. Waiting for the right time. Worried I wouldn’t make friends. Worried I couldn’t justify the price.

But I hope I can be a helping hand for any of your worries because I would absolutely LOVE TO HAVE YOU on this Philippines Sunrise Getaway trip with @imheretravels in May 2026 🌴

I’ve included all the fun things we’re gonna be getting up to every single day and omg what an itinerary🏄‍♀️

It’s £1100 currently which I know is a lot of money, however it includes all the below AND you can get involved in the instalment plan so you’re not paying all upfront 💛

I started the year sleeping at a train station… and honestly, 10/10 recommend. 🚂✨

I spent the weekend at The Old Railway Station in Petworth, West Sussex, staying in Flora, a 1923 Pullman carriage that has been turned into the dreamiest little hotel room. Original details, wood panelling, tiny train windows… it literally feels like stepping back in time.
